Award Winning Author Derek Munson To Visit El Paso Schools

Author Offers Presentations on Friendship, Creativity and Writing

El Paso, TX —Oct. 26, 2010—Students in El Paso will get a special treat this month when Derek Munson, Award Winning Author of the book Enemy Pie, visits Tom Lea and Dr. Green Elementary Schools on November 12, 2010. Munson will share his book and talk with students about writing, imagination and creativity.

In addition to writing, Munson has been doing Enemy Pie Workshops and Presentations for children for more than seven years. He has presented to more than 100,000 students at public schools, private schools and libraries throughout the United States and abroad. The book Enemy Pie, springs to life through his interactive workshops and assemblies. “My goal is to inspire imagination,” said Munson. “If there’s no excitement in writing, students will not do it. What I try to do is build that enthusiasm by involving students in my presentations.”
